North Shore leads NSW in vaccination rates
1 min read

The latest data on the vaccine rollout in NSW has seen the Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai and Willoughby area increase its vaccination rate to the second highest in NSW, second only to the Baulkham hills and Hornsby Region.

68.5% of eligible over 16s have received at least one vaccine dose in the North Sydney to Hornsby area, well on the way to the target vaccination rate of 80%.

The vaccination rate across the state has seen marked improvements over the last 3 weeks, with most regions reporting a significant jump in vaccinations.

This recent boost has given NSW one of the fastest vaccination rates in the world, well ahead of the peak rates of vaccination recorded in the US and UK.  The NSW government has promised that fully vaccinated adults will be given more freedoms when certain vaccination milestones are reached and one of those targets, having 6 million Vaccinated in NSW, has just been reached, and it is expected that the government will shortly announce what some of these promised freedoms will be.
