Almost $100,000 in Sponsorship Funding from Ku-ring-gai

KU-RING-GAI Council has allocated over $93,000 in sponsorship funding.

During the July Ordinary Meeting, Council resolved to sponsor 19 community events, fun runs, of theatre performances for the 2024/25 financial year.

‘The sponsorship funding provided by the Council will play a crucial role in ensuring that these important community projects are able to be delivered,’ says Ku-ring-gai Mayor Sam Ngai.

Funding of $25,000 will be awarded to the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra for 10 major events, including a community concert at the Turramurra Uniting Church this August.

Another sum of $25,000 will be allocated to the Marian Street Theatre for Young People for the group to undertake a season of Shack by playwright George Kemp, and a season of Fairy Tale News by Belinda Campbell.

For the Bobbin Head Cycle Classic, the cycling event with over 2,000 riders annually, Council is awarding $7,000 of sponsorship funding.

The Wahroonga Food and Wine Festival, held in October, has been awarded $6,000, and another $6,000 has been budgeted for the Wahroonga Village Fair in December.
