Murial Magic at Lindfield Village Green

KU-RING-GAI Council is looking for a mural artist to make Lindfield Village Green come alive with colour.

The artist will be commissioned later this year to work on a new public mural at Lindfield Village Green.

A range of new works featuring Ku-ring-gai’s native plants and animals have been installed at St Ives Showground and the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden.

This year's mural will be based around the theme of the local community living sustainably through active transport and cycling, in support of the Council’s Net Zero goals.

The mural program is supported by Council’s Active Transport and Arts & Cultural Committees.

Applications open on Tuesday 11 June and close on Tuesday 30 July 2024.

The successful artist will receive a commission for the purchase of supplies and their time to complete the concept and delivery of the artwork. They also have the opportunity for a site visit and discussions with the Council staff to help develop their creative concept.

Mayor Sam Ngai said the mural program had been an engaging way to improve the visual appearance of public places.
