Birthing Kits for Impoverished Nations

Turramurra Rotary and Birthing Kit Foundation Australia (BKFA) are assembling birthing kits to prevent infections in childbirth.

Inside, the kits will contain essential items such as soap, gloves, sterile blades, gauze wipes, and biodegradable plastic sheets. These kits will aid in the hygienic childbirth practices of developing nations, and ensure the safe arrival of babies and the best health of mothers.

Rotary are welcoming volunteers to join and help assemble the birthing kits. Around 200 kits are slated to be created and distributed to the communities BKFA work alongside.

On the 19th of October, Rotary are running their birthing kit workshop for visitors to lend a helping hand.
