WITH the winter season now underway, Hornsby Shire Council has unveiled its upcoming schedule of free guided bushwalks, which are aimed at providing a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience for residents.

This bushwalking program certainly has something on offer for all, with a wide range of events planned, some targeted at beginners looking to take an easy stroll, to those bushwalking enthusiasts looking for a challenging hike.

Bushwalkers will be sure to learn a lot on these outings, with professional guides and organisers providing fascinating insights into the natural and cultural history of the Bushland Shire. Locations for this winter season include Beecroft, Berowra, Berrilee, Cherrybrook, Cowan, Fiddletown, Hornsby, Hornsby Heights, Pennant Hills, Thornleigh and Wahroonga.

The winter bushwalks are part of Hornsby Shire Council’s rolling program of guided walks which showcase the natural beauty of the Bushland Shire through the changing seasons. Programs are announced three times per year.
