New Hello Hornsby Event to Canoelands Orchard
1 min read

Local seniors of the Hornsby Shire are invited to Canoelands Orchard for a “Hello Hornsby” event.

Seniors are offered a free outing to Canoelands Orchard, with Devonshire Tea on arrival, an informative half-hour bee talk, and opportunity to take photos with farm animals among nectarine blossoms. Seniors are able to purchase local produce, such as fruit and honey from the famous Orchard.

“Hello Hornsby” launched in March of 2022, with grant funding from the NSW Government, aiming to provide activities, events, workshops, and outings for Hornsby Shire residents who are 60 years and over.

‘We are delighted to host another exciting Hello Hornsby event for our seniors in the Shire,’ says Hornsby Shire Mayor Philip Ruddock, ‘This trip to Canoelands Orchard provides a fun opportunity for this significant group in our community to get out and socialise with like-minded people in a safe and friendly environment.’
