Publisher's Post Edition 58 - August 2024

Welcome to our August edition. August is an exciting month for The Post.

We look forward to being a Pitch Partner for the Lindfield and Districts Community Bank’s Community Pitch event being held at Magpies Waitara on the 13th of August. Congratulations to the various community groups who will attend and pitch their project to a room full of local business owners and community members. These Pitch Partners have generously contributed to the funding pool.

The Harbour to Hawkesbury Lifeline Gala Ball is on Saturday the 31st of August, which is always a lot of fun. Please come and say hello if you have also booked tickets!

Council Elections are fast approaching – the date set is Saturday the 14th of September. It’s always inspiring to see so many enthusiastic locals wanting to make a commitment and do more for our communities at the local government level. In this edition, we have featured a few with more to come next month.

Some recent news regarding our editorial team, Riley Warner has now left The Post to spread his wings and travel throughout Europe. It was sad to see Riley go, because he and Claudia made such a great team here, and it was my greatest pleasure to see him flourish and grow as a Journalist.

In September, I will be moving into the background, and we welcome a new Editor. I will, of course, continue to write about issues close to my heart and of community interest. I’m starting a new venture aimed at women like myself who are embarking on their own businesses, which you will be able to read more in the “Community” pages next month.
